We stopped here to grab some take out as we had a dog in the vehicle with us. Awful service! Took my order and paid in advance ($40 for burger and chicken finger platters, no drinks). Took over an hour to get our food! First time I asked after half an hour, the cook said there was a delay with thawing the chicken (thawing chicken fingers???). After the second couple in the sit down restaurant had eaten and left, I demanded a refund. Only then that the waitress said that the burger was getting dressed. Finally got out food after an hour and 15 minutes. Eating in the car, I got some sort of chicken breast sandwich instead of a burger. The fries were dry and chewy. Terrible. I didn't want to go back in so I just ate it I was so hungry. The restaurant itself looks more like a souvenir shop than a restaurant and the A/C was way too small so I was waiting in a sweaty sauna. Never again.

First time for Friday fish and chips, excellent! All you can eat cod for me and a big Haddock fillet for Lise. Served neatly on a little plank with fresh cut fries in a stainless bowl.

This was easily the best Motel that I've stayed in. You could tell the moment you get into your room. It smelled clean, dry and fresh. The rooms had few nice touches that made quite a difference, like quilted bed spreads as opposed to those fluffy ones.The restaurant was excellent as well. I will be using this establishment again next time I'm in the area.

Lovely motel. Clean room. Extremely friendly service. We stayed one night. Delicious battered cod on all you can eat Friday fish night. My friend had warm beet and goat cheese salad. Absolutely delicious. Glad we found the place late on friday when our rustic cabin deal turned out to be too rustic for two city folks!!

Good food, awful service. Almost an hour being one of only two customers there for a burger. Drinks were warm before food even came out. We did not even see our waitress for the duration to get a refill or anything. Could not even be bothered to let us know it may be a wait which we would have been fine with, when I finally asked at 40 mins when we could expect our food they said it takes a while to cook a single patty. Yeah not 1 hour... 2 waitresses and barely anyone in there and could not even be bothered to see how thing we're going. The lack of communication was bad, usually a pretty reasonable person and like to support local but it was overall not great service. Would not return. Would rather support another family restaurant.

Absolutely love this place. It is by far my favourite place to go for a nice full tummy and great tasting food in the area. The staff is lovely and accommodating and even have gluten free options. Their deserts are wonderful and if you're in the North Bay or Mattawa area it is definitely one of the best places to go.

Spaghetti was fantastic.

We were due to arrive here after hours but the owners and staff went the extra mile to get us into our room after a long day on the road. The rooms are clean, and are getting upgraded as time permits.Any shortcomings from the rooms are more than made up by the breakfast provided with the price of the room. One of the best breakfasts that we had on an eight day trip! I would definitely plan to stop here for lunch or dinner. Personal service from the owners, and they stopped to chat with each guest personally. We would absolutely stay here again! And one more thing, buy the butter tarts, you will not be disappointed!

Great place for the price. The rooms are big for the price and the staff are incredible. The food was amazing and the breakfast is included. Great place for snowmobileing 2 trails are right across the road not even 100 feet from the doors. I'll be staying here again

Love this place. First time we stayed the owners made us feel like we have going there for years. The rooms were practically brand new, and very comfy. Food was absolutely delicious. We have already booked a return trip this year, and are planning an annual trip as well.

Food was excellent. The portions might have been too big though. I stopped for lunch and couldn't eat again until the next day! Our waitress was very friendly if a bit spacey. The place isn't huge but it was clean and cozy.

Dont pass this place without stopping for something to eat the portions are massive and the food is homemade and delicious you won't be disappointed

Excellent burgers and sweet potato fries. Blueberry rhubarb crumble was fantastic - a little on the sweet side. Great service!

Called my order in long before I went to pick it up. It took over an hour for two poutines and a pogo. If you are in a rush I suggest going elsewhere. Prices are high. Food is good.

Excellent food, restaurant not roomy enough

Came up for last snowmobile ride of the year. Right on the trails. Clean, comfortable updated interior in rooms. Friendly staff & owners. They opened the restaurant Monday morning just for us to make us breakfast!

Just picked up my order from dinner bell 2 club houses with poutine & chicken fingers and fries. Poutine is gross, not enough curds, fried are old. Not enough chicken fingersI'll never go there again. Might as well say I threw $50 in the garbage

Never before have I had such bad service as this visit. Pulled in off the hyway with “worlds best chips” sign. I ordered a medium fries to go. It took 25 minutes. It was 3pm, two 4 people tables already with food. One can only wonder why I had to wait so long, but for the best fries in the world it was ok. In the end fries were junk. Cook burnt them. No flavour but the fish flavoured cooking oil. Wife had soft serve said it was ok. Trust me give this place a miss.

not only did we wait over 45min for 3 chicken strips, the prices are wayyy too high $50 for 3 chicken finger combos is HORRIBLE, tasted like late nights left overs, chicken was so dry and battery didnt even stick and then to find out combos dont come with a drink so that's $4.50 for 2 cans of pop! I dont know how this place has a 4star it's not even a 1 star, seems like alot hasnt changed from years ago.

We came for dinner on a late Friday night on our way to the cottage. The restaurant is very small, but homely. As mentioned in the other reviews, there is definitely a wait for the food (we waited almost 40 mins); it is also noted in the disclaimer on the menu. But oh was the food so worth the wait! Everything was delicious! The food came out fresh and hot, so you could tell it was made from scratch. And the meal was totally worth the price for the portion size. The service was also great. I would highly recommend

Awesome food made from scratch!

We showed up at 5:30 am after travelling for 15 hours and the closest gas station was closed. We rang the door bell and they actually answered. We were able to get a room without any hassel. The customer service was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very nice and most of all very clean. I highly recommend this motel to anyone in their travels. Hope we can time it for to stay on our way back to Calgary. Thank u again!!!!

Hands down , the absolute BEST Prime Rib dinner with all the trimmings. The right price made it perfect. Really.. I feel 6 stars would be more appropriate...and must add a note about the Friday night fish and chips....best halibut and fresh homemade fries I have eaten since I moved out from the west coast over 30 years ago

Thick, well cooked hamburgers with fresh toppings and a toasted bun that was up to the job of keeping it all together. With a generous helping of skin-on french fries and a chocolate shake, it was more than enough. Friendly table service under an outdoor tent. Just what we needed on the long drive from Georgian Bay to Ottawa.

Vanilla milkshake - super thick, just how they’re supposed to be. Great little shopping spree for the girls.

Wonderful staff and extremely hospitable!!! We are walking across Canada for a fundraiser, and I had left some food in the fridge. While we were traveling to North Bay a gentleman pulled over and dropped off my food, plus some additional sandwiches they ladies prepared for us!!! Very touching and delicious!! The breakfast buffet was beyond good. An exceptional experience... Thank you!!!
